Hiles, a strong believer in community building, says that in addition to their ability to help lower energy costs and encourage active lifestyles, walking trails also promote a sense of community among neighbors, with pathways encouraging spontaneous meetings and hangouts. Environmental, practical, and fun, shared public meeting places stand as a network of walking trails are an amenity no rental development should be without.
